Notice of Vacancy – Co-option for Parish Councillor
A vacancy has arisen on Great Tey Parish Council and the Council intends to fill this vacancy by co‑option.

The Council invites applications from residents who meet the eligibility criteria to serve as a Parish Councillor. This is an opportunity to contribute to the work of the Council, support the community, and help shape the future of the parish.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be aged 18 or over and meet the following criteria:
- You must be a commonwealth citizen, a British subject or a citizen of a member state of the European Union.
- You must be over 18 years old.
- You must be on the electoral roll for Great Tey Parish Council OR,
- You must during the whole of the previous twelve months before election or co-option, have resided in the locality or within three miles of it or occupied as owner or tenant any land or premises therein.
How to Apply:
Please submit a short written expression of interest outlining:
- Why you wish to serve as a Parish Councillor
- Any skills, experience, or local knowledge you would bring to the role

The co‑option will be considered at the April Parish council meeting to be held on Tuesday 21st April at 7.30pm in the Village Hall.
